Dr Rachel Hughes welcomes interns from master’s level mental health programs in Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Interns working with Rachel will gain expert supervision in working with a broad range of social locations, especially neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ communities. Connect Counseling and Consulting offers a comprehensive range of services for multidisciplinary professionals. We specialize in providing clinical supervision and consultation, ensuring professionals receive the guidance and support they need to excel in their roles.

LMHCAs and LMFTAs

Dr Rachel proudly offers experienced supervision with over 10 years of experience in providing systemic supervision from a culturally attuned lens. Associates level clinicians will receive support in solidifying their theory of change of choice with focus on competencies in assessment and diagnosis, treatment planning, intervention, and ethical and legal decision making support. Dr Rachel operates from an Acceptance and Comment Therapy vantage point with heavily integrated strategic and experiential family therapy theories but happily code switches to your theory of choice to help you figure out your exact therapy brand that is effective and authentic. Potential supervisees can reach out at rachel@conenctcounselingandconsulting.com.

Licensed Professionals and Beyond

In addition to clinicians in training, Dr Rachel loves supporting the therapy community at large. Our live training sessions focus on working with neurodivergent kids and families, as well as gender minority kids and families. These sessions are designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to effectively support these unique groups. The training covers a variety of topics, offering insights into the challenges these individuals face and strategies for addressing them.

In addition to live trainings, Connect Counseling and Consulting also offers asynchronous CEU courses. These courses focus on neurodivergence and families, as well as working with kids and gender in their family context. The courses provide professionals with a flexible learning option, allowing them to gain valuable knowledge and skills at their own pace. Reach out to arrange expert case consultation and live seminars on these communities in a therapeutic context!
